Born from Innovation

Silvermine Stone was born from a single idea to improve an existing process and create a new product category. The founder of Silvermine Stone is also the inventor of mortarless stone veneer, a mason, who wanted to simplify the process of installing stone on home or business.

He knew that installing stone one by one using mortar was a tedious and time-consuming process. It is a blend of a complex installation process, to ensure the building was watertight, and artistry to make sure the stone was well blended, level, and balanced. To be done right, stone veneer installations require a skilled mason, proper weather, and plenty of time. Stone siding and accents were growing in demand in the construction and home building industry, yet remained a pain point for builders and homeowners alike

His invention of mortarless stone spawned the Silvermine Stone business, featuring a manufactured stone veneer that could be installed using a screw, making it easy enough for do-it-yourselfers to install, and the real, natural stone look also appeals to custom homeowners, contractors, and designers

Patented Flashing System – Protect the House from Moisture

Beyond offering real stoen aesthetics, Silvermine Stone is the only brand of mortarless stone veneer to feature a patented and intuitive installation and flashing system. While Silvermine Stone was the first brand of mortarless stone, it is not the only brand of mortarless stone, and other systems may offer a simple installation, but fall short when it comes to water penetration.

Silvermine provides look of real stone veneer without the risk associated with moisture intrusion.

How Does it Work?

Each 6-inch tall Silvermine Stone panel has a piece of 8-inch “flashing” cast into the top of the panel. The panels create a shingle effect on wall, similar to a roof shingle, and won’t allow moisture to get through to the wall’s substrate.

Silvermine Stone’s pantented system provides a safe and professional finish trusted by the pros, because they know that the shingle style installations have been proven to keep water out.
