Innovation in Mortarless Stone Siding

Silvermine Stone Company started from a single idea to improve an existing process and create an alternative product. The inventor, a mason, wanted to simplify the process of adding beautiful stone siding or accents to a home or business.


As a trained and experienced mason, the inventor knew that laying bricks one by one using mortar was a tedious and time consuming process, and it required a skilled mason to do it right. Stone siding and accents were becoming much more popular in the construction and home building industry, yet it was taking a long time, and a lot of money, to install it.


This presented an opportunity for Silvermine Stone Company, and they launched Belterra Stone Veneer Siding. The product of cultured stone in a mortarless form makes it easy enough for do-it-yourselfers to install, and the real, natural stone look also appeals to custom home owners, contractors, and interior designers.


Today, Silvermine Stone Company manufactures Belterra Stone Veneer Siding for commercial and residential projects throughout the United States and Canada. The company's headquarters are located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

How Does it Work?

It starts with our 8" aluminum flashing, securely cast into each flat stone. This creates a "shingle" effect on your wall and won't allow water penetration.

Our unique corner system seamlessly works through inside/outside corners. Using the same stone for both, saving time, money and providing a foolproof water barrier.

Finally, the system is capped off with our 3' sill pieces. The fastening hem tucked underneath existing siding or counter-flashed against masonry.

Warranty Overview


Silvermine Stone Operating Co LLC (“Silvermine”) products have a limited lifetime warranty from the date of purchase when installed in conformance to local building codes and manufacturer’s instructions (including use of Silvermine recommended fasteners). This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and may not be transferred to any subsequent owner.

The Warranty does not cover any issues associated with conditions or handling beyond our control that relate to non-defective material.

Silvermine will replace any material that is defective at no charge. Silvermine is not responsible for labor costs incurred in removal and replacement of defective product(s). It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all products prior to installation to ensure such aesthetics are pleasing prior to installation to ensure optimal satisfaction and avoid post-installation issues.
